His career:
Nori-san has always been a favourite with the Brits
for his on-the-edge riding style and death-or-glory
attitude. Added to that he's just SO cute and cuddly
isn't he? OK, not really a hunk, but he's been nominated
for this page by many girls and why the hell not? The
cutie.
Haga smashed his way into the World Superbike scene
in 1998 having won the All Japan Road Racing Championship
the previous year. He started amazing us with his method
of backing it into the corners, steadily building up
his reputation and following. The unfortunate "drug"
incident took away his chance to win the WSB championship
in 2000, and then he moved to the MotoGP. He floundered
in MotoGP only getting up with the pace on a few occasions.
A move back to WSB in 2004 has put him firmly back on
the winners' rostrum.
