I'm looking for a Birthday present for the Boyfriend.

Has anyone been to a Wheelie School and/or could recommend a good one?

Obviously I would have to book myself on it as well so that he didn't feel lonely

Cheers

nah, you don't need to pay all that for a wheelie school, just ask my mate cj. off he went to work one day on his wee 125, turned to wave to his mammy at the window, hit a bump in the road and hauled the throttle wide open, whoopee! wheelied all the way up the road

i think he had to go back and change his trousers however.....

Three of us did wheelie school and although it was a bit of a laugh it was not worth £150. We were told to cough and at the same time twist the throttle very quickly. This is all well and good when you have their cut out stick attached to the bike (you could buy the gizmo)but not such a good idea if you haven't. I would spend the money on a track day instead.

Thanks for that. Hmmmm, maybe not such a good pressie then.

He's been on loads of track days as he races minitwins in Bemsee...

Any other bright ideas for bike related pressies?

What about a day or weekend dirt biking? I am trying to arrange a weekend trail riding in wales it is only £28 pp for b&b and the tracks are free . Have a look at www.offroadwalco.uk Of course this will not be any use if you have not got dirt bikes, but there are loads of companies that offer a full package bike included.

Andy teaches off throttle wheelies usin a bandit 12. To be honest if you can't wheelie a B12 you should give up.

It's best to learn a technique that suits your bikw. What you learn on a B12 will only really work on a B12.

When I'm back in the swing I'll be delighted to teach any of you how to wheelie on your own bike.

AWESOME!  I'd LOVE to learn but I've got a horrible feeling I'd break poor Roger.

Hey, count me in. I want to play too!

I have the art of falling off down to a tee, and my bike is a bit of a heap so I'm happy to try and bend it some more.

(The boyfriend ended up with a White water rafting trip to Italy by the way - it was a way to sneak in a holiday without him noticing)
