Sarah (Quinny) is racing in the Rookie 400 Championship with Bemsee for 2005.

"I don’t know how well I’ll do in 2005, but for me it’s all about learning as much as I can so that I can win races in the future."

"I’m the second child of three; I have two brothers; Nick 28 who lives abroad, and Tim 24.
My first love has always been sport; I played football competitively from the age of 9 for school and girl / ladies teams. I started playing hockey at 14 and still play every weekend of the season and in the summer league.

I went to University for only a year for various reasons. Although it was only a year, it was the greatest laugh; great people and loads of alcohol! I got a job as a warehouse worker on nights, unloading and loading HGV’s, which I did for two years. Although I loved the job, 70+ hour weeks on nights gave me not much of a social life, and hockey on a Saturday was awful as I was half asleep!

I got an entry level administration job, and have since moved up to manage the access and input side of a computer administration system. In 2002 I had my first go on a sports bike and almost rode it straight into a wall! I am on my second ZXR400 since, which I use for hooning to and fro from work and hockey, and anywhere else I go. Since that first sports bike ride I craved for a bit of road with no cameras, policemen or speedtraps!

I share a house with my mate Babs who I’ve known for over 10 years, and a bloke called Andy who we found on the internet after my brother Tim moved out to buy with his girlfriend. It’s a mad house; there’s always people coming and going, and often unconscious people to fall over in the mornings!"

How long have you been biking?
Since 1998 when I owned a Yamaha FS1. I got a CG125 shortly afterwards, and have had ZXR400’s since September 2002.

What inspired you to start racing?
Although I love riding on the roads, traffic and speed limits kill the fun a little!. I’m very competitive and love riding bikes.

What are your ambitions?
For my first race I want to finish and not come last! I want to learn and improve through 2005, to be good enough to compete from the beginning of a season in the future.
To do the TT.

Who do you look up to in racing?
All girls who have ever raced and who will be racing. Anyone that’s done the TT.

What do you do in your spare time?
I play hockey for Sunbury Hockey Club and spend as much time as possible with my mates and my family.
I love music too (listening that is!).

Who's your favourite racing hunk?
Neil Hodgson is gorgeous but very married!
Jamie Whitham is quite cute too but you can’t have it all!

I can’t wait for 2005!
