Sarah (Quinny) is racing in the Rookie 400 Championship
with Bemsee for 2005.
"I don’t know how well I’ll
do in 2005, but for me it’s all about
learning as much as I can so that I can win
races in the future."
"I’m the second child of three; I
have two brothers; Nick 28 who lives abroad,
and Tim 24.
My first love has always been sport; I played
football competitively from the age of 9 for
school and girl / ladies teams. I started playing
hockey at 14 and still play every weekend of
the season and in the summer league.
I went to University for only a year for various
reasons. Although it was only a year, it was
the greatest laugh; great people and loads of
alcohol! I got a job as a warehouse worker on
nights, unloading and loading HGV’s, which
I did for two years. Although I loved the job,
70+ hour weeks on nights gave me not much of
a social life, and hockey on a Saturday was
awful as I was half asleep!
I got an entry level administration job, and
have since moved up to manage the access and
input side of a computer administration system.
In 2002 I had my first go on a sports bike and
almost rode it straight into a wall! I am on
my second ZXR400 since, which I use for hooning
to and fro from work and hockey, and anywhere
else I go. Since that first sports bike ride
I craved for a bit of road with no cameras,
policemen or speedtraps!
I share a house with my mate Babs who I’ve
known for over 10 years, and a bloke called
Andy who we found on the internet after my brother
Tim moved out to buy with his girlfriend. It’s
a mad house; there’s always people coming
and going, and often unconscious people to fall
over in the mornings!" |
