Round 2, Jerez 2nd May

Introducing my nephew, Rowan, to the delights of a Rossi win in South Africa 2 weeks previous.

It was warm and wet. And, to coin a phrase from Good Morning Vietnam, "that's nice if you're with a lady but it ain't no good if you're in the jungle" - or racing GP bikes in Spain of course. We had brilliant sunshine in the UK, but then we have to get lucky sometimes.

We were expecting great things from Rossi after a spectacular first round, but it turns out the rain didn't suit the bike, or perhaps him on the bike since the other Yams were up at the front this time too. He missed the podium for the first time since August 2002.

I watched the races on Eurosport, but I'm hoping to get a report from some well travelled soul who braved the weather, poor sod. Otherwise, just expect more for the next races...
