10th Annual Bike Wise 2004 - Sunday 8th August, Durham Police HQ



This was a well attended event on a beautiful day. The police are incredibly friendly and welcoming, as are the locals.
We managed to generate a good amount of interest, tried to persuade a few ladies off the back seat to the front, a few other ladies onto the track, and had a small number of ladies interested in taking up racing.
One thing which surprised me was the percentage of women who either were piliions and not interested in riding or were purely along with their other half and not even interested in bikes. This was a family outing which contrasted with the response at Donington GP - perhaps bike-bored wives take more persuading to go to a GP event!
